Solid fuel and biomass appliances are becoming even more popular with the growing demand for renewable energy solutions. To make sure appliances work safely and efficiently, it’s important that installation and servicing is carried out by a properly trained and registered competent person.
Consumers using a HETAS registered installer:
- Can be safe in the knowledge that their installer has been trained and assessed to carry out compliant work
- Will save both time and money and ensure your appliance works safely and efficiently
- Receive a certificate of compliance following the completion of the installation (Please check with your installer and local Building Control)
- Ability to choose a range of installations covered by the scheme including biomass boiler systems, dry appliances, appliances with boilers, hot water and heating systems along with re-lining chimneys and system flues
Ensure your installer is registered with HETAS and always ask your installer for identification, your HETAS installer will be able to produce a HETAS ID card with their HETAS registration competences displayed on the reverse. Please note that installers might hold a range of competences with HETAS, ensure the installer you choose is registered for the work you are looking to have carried out.
